Father Varenne is the most successful trotting horse of all time with a record of 1:09.1 and winnings of over 6 million Euros. 51 „Gran Premi“ have been won by the Italian international star, including two triumphs in the Prix d'Amerique, the most prestigious trotting race in the world. He also won the Elitloppet twice, the „World Championship of Sprinters“.
Mother Sunset Lane – a sensation in her early years
Sarenne AS Mother Sunset Lane was also a sensation in her early years. With a kilometer average record of 1:14.0 the mare set the 1993 European record for two year-old mares; a time that still stands as the track record at the prestigious trotting race in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Over the course of her racing career Sunset Lane also won the German Trotter Derby. With a profit of 500,000 euros she is still one of the top four most profitable German trotter mares of all time.
